Overview
Freya Becker is a typist with the homicide division of the Berlin police. Freya’s daughter, Marie, disappeared 11 years ago without a trace, and Freya is determined to uncover the truth, whatever the cost.

Thilo Menken has disappeared without a trace and everything points to a violent crime. The new Chief Inspector Silowski begins to investigate. Freya's mother dies and the funeral awakens traumatic memories.

The trail in the case of Menken leads to the missing person's sister. Freya is worried about this trail and watches Sabine Menken. Anna Liebig discovers similarities in some of the unsolved murder cases.
S01E04 Episode 4: Crime and Punishment
Freya is worried because she may have been wrong about Thilo Menken. Marie's pimp Murat is released from custody. He is the only witness who can say what happened to Marie.
S01E05 Episode 5: The Opening
Sabine Menken makes a confession in the case of Sandra and leads the police to the buried body. Anne is getting closer to Freya with her investigation. Then Murat's body is found.
