Overview
Manuela is a young woman who lives in a cabin where she studies the Andalusian wetlands. Her life revolves around watching birds. A few kilometres away, Alba lives completely neglected, a seven-year-old girl whose mother, Yolanda, works at night.

Fabio discovers a link between Alba and Manuela and summons Manuela to court to testify; when Yolanda and Lucho are arrested, they deny abusing Alba.

Manuela informs everyone that Paloma is her daughter, which comes as a huge shock, especially to Héctor, her ex-boyfriend; Yolanda and Lucho arrive in Madrid.

Manuela is released from prison but is issued with a restraining order against seeing Alba, who must go back home with Yolanda and Lucho. However, Alba and Manuela don't wish to be separated.
