Overview
Sasuke Furuta is a vassal of the great warlord Nobunaga Oda and a man obsessed with tea ceremony and material desires in his pursuit of a fortuitous life. Having learned from Nobunaga and the legendary tea master Soueki Senne, Sasuke walks the way of the Hyouge Mono.

Nobunaga travels to the imperial court at Kyoto with a small guard. He is lodged in the Honno-ji temple complex, which Sasuke has always dreamed of visiting.

On the night of June 2, 1582, Sasuke has an ominous feeling and hurries to Kyoto, in time to witness the end of an era.

The late Oda's vassals are forced to take sides as a civil war looms.

Azuchi Castle is put under Akechi's command. When S么eki visits the place, he finds it quite different.

Both Akechi and Sasuke learn who assassinated Nobunaga, and are faced with the biggest moral conflict of their lives.

Akechi, after being crushingly defeat by the Hashiba force, has his final supper with his closest vassals. There, he experiences the essence of "Wabi".
S01E15 The Times, They Are A-Changin'
S么eki advises the new government to burn down Azuchi Castle, tainted by the late Akechi's aesthetic, whilst Sasuke meets Hideyoshi, who now reigns supreme.
S01E17 Changing Man
Hideyoshi is named chief advisor to the Emperor. Sasuke is promoted as well, receiving the name of "Oribe Furuta". Oribe begins to focus seriously on the production of Mino pottery.
S01E18 Only One Flower in the World
Hideyoshi gives S么eki the honorable name of "Sen-no Riky没". Riky没 once again invites Hideyoshi to a bold plot.
S01E19 Woman from Nagoya
Friction between Riky没 and Hideyoshi increases. Meanwhile, Oribe aspires to master the way of tea, but lacks the confidence to succeed.
S01E20 The Deep Hole of Imperfection
Oribe visits the tea master Hechikan, once a fellow student of Riky没, to deepen his understanding of wabi aesthetics.
S01E21 First Love
Oribe has trouble financing an army to keep up with Hideyoshi's endeavors. However, when he is tasked to show Ieyasu around Kyoto, he smells a chance.
S01E22 The Devil's Whisper
The Kyushu conquest begins. In the battle against the Akizuki troops, Oribe gets help from Nobushige Sanada, and sneaks into Kosyozan Castle.
S01E23 Come On, My Juraku
Hideyoshi announces a great tea gathering to commemorate the subjugation of Kyushu and the erection of Jurakudai Castle.
S01E24 Take Me to Kitano
Tea masters from all over Japan gather in Kyoto for Hideyoshi's great tea gathering. Oribe has an elaborate plan to outdo them all.
S01E25 Start From the Beginning Again
Hechikan's simplistic tea ceremony wins him the first place in Hideyoshi's competition. Inspired by his success, Oribe makes a misguided attempt to refine his wabi.
S01E26 The Cursed Night
Hechikan forces both Oribe and Riky没 to reflect on their rigid ways.
S01E27 Anarchy in Japan
Riky没 and Oribe together undergo a maturation, as they rediscover the fun and freedom in wabi.
S01E28 Furuta Oribe and Fires
Riky没's most promising disciple, Souji Yamanoue, finally finds his place in the Kanto region, just as Hideyoshi is preparing an invasion.
S01E29 Kanto Survival
The Odawara conquest begins. Riky没 meets Souji again. They were pleased with each other's mental growth.
S01E30 Edo Frontier
During Hideyoshi's feudal reforms, Ieyasu is granted a new domain: Edo.
S01E31 Forgive My Silence
Hideyoshi and Riky没's relationship continues to deteriorate. Oribe is attacked by the impetuous Date Masamune.
S01E32 Aesthete's Crossroad
To his dismay, Hideyoshi finds his courtiers will never support him to the fullest.
S01E33 The Shadow Tea King
Oribe invites Riky没 to a hot spring with ocean view, and is motivated to change his course.
S01E34 The Crybaby Under the Sun
Riky没 is angered when Hideyoshi confiscates his greatest treasure and only daughter. Meanwhile, Oribe produces the first true piece of Oribe pottery.
S01E35 New Guilty Partner
The reception of Oribe's latest cup is highly positive. Josui Kuroda visits the gravely ill Hidenaga Toyotomi.
S01E36 You're the Chosen One
Aware that Hideyoshi's advisers are planning to dispose of him, Riky没 invites Ieyasu to a tea ceremony.
S01E37 The Man Who Destroyed the "World"
Masamune angered Hideyoshi again. He goes to Oribe and Takayama for advice on how to make up to his lord.
S01E38 Dusk at Yodo River
Riky没 is ordered by Hideyoshi to seclude himself at Sakai. Oribe and Tadaoki see him off at the Yodo river.
S01E39 Aren't You a Fan of Imperfection?
Hideyoshi orders Riky没 to commit seppuku, and appoints an executioner: Furuta Oribe.
