When Pedro returns and find Mencía beaten, he attacks Linares. But in the ensuing scuffle, Fernando is accidentally shot, and Pedro must save him.

Beatriz offers Andrés intel. in exchange for her passage on a ship. Nicuesa's men abduct Enriquillo and hold him for a ransom: Catalina.
