S01E07: Episode 7
By pretending to collect Sir Ivor's dirty washing, Jo is able to sneak into the house. She finds Nicholas, who refuses to leave without his ring. Later in the night, Louisa, Jo and Nicholas 'borrow' a hansom cab and follow Joshua, Louisa's father, down to the wharve where his is further investigating the toxic substance. Just after Joshua finds the waste, he is attacked by Sir Ivor's men, and he is effected somehow by breathing in the toxic substance. Jo and the others find Joshua and return him home, before leaving the warehouse though, Jo picks up the drum that is still there. Jo is about to prove to Primrose about the toxic drum, but when she goes outside to get it, the hansom cab and the drum are gone. Back in 1995, and after a pep talk from Royce, Catherine decides not to resign.
Overview
When Jo Tiegan is given an oval-shaped mirror, as a gift, by the elderly owner of an antique shop, she is amazed to see another girl's image in the mirror instead of her own reflection. It is also quite obvious that the other girl can see her just as clearly. Jo (from the 1990's) and 'the girl in the mirror', Louisa Iredale (from 1919), later accidently find that they can also travel to each other's times through the mirror - following upon which discovery a relentless sequence of events is set in motion.
